What Is continuous positive air pressure?

Continuous positive air pressure (CPAP) machines deliver a continuous level of pressurized air while you sleep. This is in contrast to BiPAP machines, which offer different levels of pressurized air during inhalation and exhalation, and APAP machines, which adjust pressure levels based on your breathing patterns. Sleepers set their CPAP machines to deliver the air pressure level that has been prescribed by their medical professional.

How does the Luna G3 Auto-CPAP differ from the Luna G3 BiPAP?

The Luna G3 Auto-CPAP delivers one level of continuous pressurized air through the night, while the Luna G3 BiPAP produces two different pressurized air levels — one for inhalation, another for exhalation. The Auto-CPAP is a good option for sleepers who are new to PAP therapy, while the BiPAP model is usually prescribed to people who have found CPAP devices to be ineffective.

How loud is the Luna G3 Auto-CPAP?

The Luna G3 Auto-CPAP produces less than 26 decibels (dB) of noise when set to the lowest pressure setting of 10 cmH2O. By comparison, a whisper is considered to be around 30 dB and conversational voices around 60 dB.

    This machine is much better than my Respironics. The air delivery is incredibly smooth and the machine is virtually silent. Auto start is instant and gradual. Definitely recommend this for those of us using CPAPs. It makes sleep so much better.

    Pretty cool machine

    I like the features this machine offers. It's the perfect balance of function and practicality. As an addition bonus, it's very quiet and does not bother my wife. The pressure has a ramp feature that helps me fall asleep faster, and uses the lowest setting to jump start my breathing. I came with a travel case and even has roots pack my mask!
